Safari Teddy and Friends

A few weeks ago, we did our bit for charity. It's an annual event organised by Suria KLCC and this year, the proceeds raised from tickets sold (RM35/child) were donated to the National Autism Society for Malaysia. The event required every kids to bring along their favorites plush toys. But my son was too shy to bring along his mr.teddy so I had to carry mr. teddy for him (hmmm.. a 7-year old boy like my son thinks that holding a teddy in public is a girl thing).

Thanks to all the sponsors as the kids received goodie bags upon entry. Prizes were also given out to the winners of coloring contest and treasure hunt. Some families who were lucky enough brought home some prizes from the lucky draw.

My kids had so much fun during the day out(unfortunately my youngest unable to join due to chicken pox that she had to be quarantine at home).

Ulik Mayang Spa

A holiday is not complete without going for a spa session to pamper myself. During my recent holiday trip to Lake Kenyir, I manage to have an hour for myself for a massage at Ulik Mayang Spa of Lake Kenyir Resort. The spa has a balcony overlooking Lake Kenyir and this is where I was actually pampered with foot massage while enjoying the beautiful view of Lake Kenyir.

The prices are reasonable

Lake Kenyir Cruise

Lake cruise is one of the main highlights at Lake Kenyir. On our second day, we took the 2-hour cruise around the lake and visited the Herbal Island and Saok Waterfall. Herbal Island is known for its collection of herbal plants and here we were actually served with herbal drinks like tongkat ali and kacip fatimah. Then, the cruise took us to Saok Waterfall where we soaked in the cooling water enjoying the nature around us.

Fun Activities & Games

Lake Kenyir Resort offers many activities like lake cruise, a visit to National Park, fishing trip, elephant walk tour, bird watching, Kelah santuary, deer feeding, jungle trekking and night safari (Oh! 3 days 2 nights stay at the resort is not enough to do all these activities).

The most enjoyable activity according to my kids is playing at the pool. The pool has this kiddie slide that they couldn't get enough of. (But be mindful, one of the young guests bumped his head on his way down the slide but nothing serious happened as he only got bruises on his head).

After dinner, we enjoy some indoor games like congkak, lego, wooden blocks, foosball and pool. Hubby taught me how to play pool. Guess what! I really enjoy it.

You may find these birds if you went for bird watching
